Trade Night Success!

I just wanted to thank everyone for helping us create a highly successful and entertaining evening. 150 instructors, distributors, students, and companies turned out on a week night! It was great to see everyone networking before and after the event as that's what this exercise was all about. We feel it's important to bring the martial arts together and by all accounts you feel the same way.

We have a WINNER!
Yes there were so many give aways on the night (100s of DVDs) and of course we had our major competition. The winner of the “Stunt Academy” weekend was won by Felicia Garasole and we couldn't be happier. Felicia will fly to the beautiful (and warm) Gold Coast, which would be enough in itself but check this out! The weekend consists of stage combat, motorcycling, advanced abseiling, swordplay, wirework and tumbling. Plus she will walk away with an “Action Show reel” that will be professionally filmed and edited. How brilliant is that. Thanks again to Colin Handley at the Stunt Academy.

Here are the results from the feedback we have received.

•  Most of you found that the time of the event was suitable but would prefer a weekend.

•  Everyone liked the venue. Thank you to Sam and Adrian from Village Cinemas , Doncastor for your tireless work!

•  All of you thought that the night was good but not very good, so we have some work to do there!

•  Most of you thought that the forum was a great way to be informed of industry news and product releases and would like to be involved in future events.

•  And all of you would go again, which is great news for us!

I would also like thank all of the new apprentice students who helped us with the night. It would have been impossible without you.

On the night I raised some points on how you can bring more revenue to your business though retail DVD and Emag sales, gain free advertising in our Emag for your events and products, access government funding with the right qualifications, obtain reduced merchant rates (0.99%) thanks to Westpac, and have access to your own corporate travel manager from Flight Centre . Make use of these products and services as this is part of our pledge to help school owners to be more profitable and attract more students.
