This is a place where you can find out what's happening around the state. Many of the events are run by IMA but this is an industry notice board not just for members. If you have an event you want to tell others about, send it to us.

12th April to 19th April 2008 3rd International Martial Arts Games and Congress to be held in Bangkok, Thailand. The Games will be supported by the World Muaythai Federation (WMF). This is subsidised by the Thailand government so accommodation, food entry fees is very cheap. The IMA is helping with finding cheap flights for you guys. So whether you are competing or just watching this amazing 9 day event, you don't want to miss it. Graham Slater is acting as Team Coach and Eng Chor Khor as President of the Australian Branch. The ‘ Alliance ' is inviting all martial arts instructors to join them on this special end of year break up. Network with other school owners pick up some new ideas to promote your school from our guest speakers.

The ‘ Alliance ' will hold a number of special seminars labelled 'BETTER BUSINESS SEMINARS' to help instructors expand their schools, create more revenue streams, increase their coaching and business skills in general. This material will be matched up to the national sports / fitness training packages (Certificate III-IV). Attendees may obtain credit towards existing or future qualifcations. For more details call us.

The first seminar will be held in February 2008 and the rest will be delivered throughout the year at the IMA HQ 346 Bell St Preston. Participants from interstate are welcome.

Seminar duration will be from 3 - 8 hours and will include resource material.

Seminar dates may change without consultation so participants are required to book in advance and confirm 3 days before each seminar in case of any last minute changes.

Value of these seminars are $200 - $500 each (that's less than your annual membership). You get TWO FREE if you renew your membership before 1st February 2008. Membership received after then will only entitle you to ONE FREE SEMINAR.

Intersate people will receive the resource material in a distance learning pack on DVD with the same opportunity one or two packs for free.
