Why choice a Martial Arts Australia Member School?  Each school has met the industry’s business / ethical standards of operations using appropriate policies / procedures to create a safe / fun learning environment. All instructors have had their qualifications checked, hold Working with Children Checks, Police Checks and have appropriate sports insurance. Instructors are also committed to continuous improvement by attending industry seminars and seeking more nationally recognised training courses.

Facilities & Programs
Martial Arts Schools are diverse in their facilities and programs with some operating out of church / scout halls or community centres while the full time operations work out of their own leased/owned factory/warehouse. Some schools are more of a private club while others are like a commercial gym but all our appealing. Try them all out because it maybe the instructor you like rather than the facilities but generally the more commercial operations will offer more classes and programs.

Karate (Shotokan, Goju Kai, Shorin Ryu, Shito Ryu, Shukokai, Kyokushin, Wado Ryu etc) Taekwondo, Hapkido, Tang So Do, Kung Fu (Wing Chun, Hung Gar, Praying Mantis etc), Ju Jutsu, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo, Kendo, Iaido, Sambo, Arnis, Eslrima, Silat, Aikido, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Krav Maga, Systema, Wushu, Sanda, Sansho,Tai Chi Qi Qong, Yoga, Meditation to mention a few of the systems available to explore.

What types of programs will you find?
There are long and short term programs that cover everything from general fitness, functional fitness, strength / conditioning, traditional martial arts specific, performance based, health focused, competion focused, self defence / combat inspired for men, women and especially design for children as young as 3 years. There are of course Women's only classes that foucs on special needs on empowerment and self defence as well as functional fitness. Children are the main focus of martial arts programs as they make up the largest part of the student base, they also get the most benefits from training. Whatever your needs you will find more than you expect from training in martial arts.
